Welcome to Reservoir Woods Trails
We welcome all visitors to enjoy the trails at Reservoir Woods.
We’re excited for you to enjoy your time outdoors here, explore, be curious, find peace, step outside of yourself and take in the wonders of the natural world!
Reservoir Woods is private land actively protected and managed by the Reservoir Woods Foundation, established to promote conservation, education and research with future generations in mind.
The Foundation land includes 1.5+ miles of trails, shown on the map below.
Visitors are welcome to use all trails except those that are marked private or No Public Access.
We hope you enjoy your time in the various environments within these 56 acres whether you are walking, hiking, bird watching, biking or cross-country skiing.
With respect for all others sharing this land, we ask you to please follow these rules.
Dogs are welcome at Reservoir Woods.
Please make sure your dogs are under your control so other owners, dogs and wildlife are not threatened. In the event of an incident, our policy may change to require that dogs be leashed at all times.
Individuals who do not adhere to Reservoir Woods dog rules may be banned from the property.
Carry out all trash and dog waste.
Wheeled motorized recreational vehicles are not permitted. Snowmobiles are allowed on the snowmobile trails only. Hunting is permitted with prior permission.
The Foundation reserves the right to close trails for trail, habitat and wildlife restoration or other reasons.
Visitors must assume responsibility for one’s own actions and safety.

Directions from Burdick’s Restaurant, 47 Main St., in downtown Walpole:
Head north on Main Street
Just past the fountain, turn right on High Street for .4 miles
Turn right on North Road for .3 miles
Turn left onto Reservoir Road
Entrance to the property is .2 miles on the right
